Founded in 1999, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. (SWS) is a subsidiary of CSSC Holding Ltd., a publicly listed company controlled by China State Shipbuilding Corporation Ltd. (CSSC).  SWS is among the most professional and experienced shipbuilders in the world with an abundant delivery track record.

To date, SWS has delivered 630 vessels and offshore units, surpassing 100 million deadweight tons – the first Chinese shipyard to reach this milestone.

SWS’s core business covers design and construction of large cruise ships, marine vessels, and offshore products.  SWS builds bulk carriers, oil tankers, container vessels, PCTCs and gas carriers.  The SWS production line also includes FPSO units, deepwater semi-submersible drilling rigs, jack-ups, and PSVs.
China’s first domestically built large cruise ship was delivered by SWS and the second one will be delivered this November as scheduled.
